A little bit about me: Wife, daughter, sister. Christian. Type A to the core (working on letting go sometimes). Oregon-lover. Mezzo soprano. Piano player. Proud owner of Shanti the Shiba. Backyard chicken mama. Book hoarder. Craft beer admirer. Arm balance addict. Snowboarder. Stand Up Paddleboarder. Hiker. All-around lover of life. And for my “job” – I get to teach yoga.
I have been teaching since 2010 and primarily teach a flowing, vinyasa style. I received my 200 hour YogaWorks certification in 2011 and my 500 hour certification from YoYoYogi in 2016. I am also working on 500 hour trainings with Yoga Medicine and Annie Carpenter and have certifications with Strala and Street Yoga. My teachings are primarily influenced by Tiffany Cruikshank, Kathryn Budig, Annie Carpenter and Tara Stiles – but I find influence from each and every teacher I have had the opportunity to practice with.
My classes are anatomically informed and soulfully inspired and promise to be fun, flowing (often a little sweaty) and leave you feelin’ good. I aspire to infuse my passion for the practice, my love of music and genuine, life-inspired musings into each class. My style creates a space for yogis to be challenged and to grow their practice, but also to find ease, confidence, laughter, yogi friends and bliss.
I teach primarily in the Salem, Oregon area with studio classes at Indigo Wellness Center and private classes at Oregon State Hospital and at a variety of local businesses and organizations. In addition, I am the founder of Yoga + Beer and host regular events at local breweries around the state and offer StandUp Paddle Board Yoga classes in Pacific City. I also am Co-Founder of The Beer Yogis, a community united by yoga and beer.
And in my free time, I blog about yoga for Evolve Fit Wear.
I look forward to getting to know you!
Cheers & Namaste.
